Hazel is a London-based multi-media artist represented by Workplace Gallery and an Associate Lecturer in BA Fine Art at Oxford Brookes University. She recently completed a funded Creative Practice PhD at Newcastle University and holds an MFA with First Class Honours from the Slade School of Fine Art, UCL.

With over ten years’ experience across university teaching, disability-arts organisations and professional studio practice, Hazel supports students from GCSE through to MA and PhD level. She has guided students in preparing competitive art school portfolios, postgraduate applications and ambitious degree show exhibitions, including progression to leading institutions such as the Royal College of Art.

Her practice spans sculpture, film, installation, kinetics, sound, projection mapping and digital media. Drawing on experience across academic, commercial and publicly funded art contexts, including Whitechapel Gallery’s London Open and solo exhibitions with Workplace, Hazel offers students clear insight into how contemporary art operates beyond the studio.

She combines rigorous critical dialogue with practical experimentation, helping students develop articulate, ambitious and submission-ready portfolios.
