Artist-Filmmaker | Portfolio Mentor
Cyrus is an artist-filmmaker and portfolio mentor specialising in photography, moving image and interdisciplinary art portfolios.
He completed his MFA in Fine Art at the University of Oxford’s Ruskin School of Art, where he was awarded the Clarendon Fund Scholarship and ranked as the highest-scoring applicant in his cohort. Prior to Oxford, he graduated with First Class Honours from the Slade School of Fine Art, UCL, and completed his Foundation Diploma at City and Guilds of London Art School.
His work has been exhibited internationally, including at South London Gallery, Leeds Art Gallery and Hong Kong Visual Arts Centre. He was selected for New Contemporaries and received press coverage in the Evening Standard and The Guardian. His recent short film Popo’s Pilgrimage (2025) received Best Documentary Short at West London Film Festival and Best Documentary at Romford Short Film Festival.
Alongside his artistic practice, Cyrus supports students applying to Foundation, BA and postgraduate programmes in the UK and internationally. He has successfully supported students gaining admission to UAL Foundation, UCL Slade School of Fine Art, King’s College London and the University of Hong Kong (Design+).
He brings a structured, strategic approach to portfolio development, particularly for students working in photography, film and interdisciplinary practice.
Neurodiversity / SEN Experience
Cyrus supports students with diverse learning needs, including autism and ADHD. He adapts structure and communication so students feel secure and supported.
