From a Career in Finance to MA Fine Art, Central Saint Martins

Chen came to Cadmium looking while working in finance and applying to MA Fine Art programmes in London. Without a Fine Art degree or foundation, he felt unsure how to approach the portfolio requirements and application process.
Over several months, he worked with an expert art portfolio tutor through our Portfolio & Admissions Mentorship programme, during which we developed a coherent body of work and clarified his visual language. Most importantly, he learned how to translate ideas into strong, resolved compositions and build a portfolio he could feel proud of.
He was accepted onto his first-choice programme, MA Fine Art at Central Saint Martins, where he is now developing his painting practice.
